Grand Canyon, AZ (USA), February 2016
Our drive through Grand Canyon National Park had an abrupt stop at the local store. We all wondered what our tour guide was “quickly picking up”. Next thing we know we all had brown bags over our heads, holding each other’s shoulders and walking in single formation towards the glory hole (lel, I mean the Grand Canyon).
When we were allowed to take the bags off our heads, I could not comprehend exactly what I was looking at. The canyon was so large in every direction, with thousands of trees resembling grass fields and the Colorado River looking like a mere creek.
We visited various viewpoints to take in the Grand Canyon and even came across a rubber ducky rock formation (see second image). The greatest sight during our stay was the sunset over and below the canyon, I wasn't able to photograph it due to poor photography skills. Hopefully my brain will remember the beautiful rays of sun and suppress the memory of being bitterly cold.
