Rome, Italy

Exploring the city of Rome was like entering an entirely different world.

The copious beautiful, immense and historical buildings were overwhelming. All the substantial monuments in Rome were definitely not let downs, they exceeded my expectations. Our time in Rome was spent walking around dazed at everything. It was all very impressive; from the Colosseum, the Spanish steps, Vatican City to the gelato store with 150 flavours (I'm still salivating over the meringue flavour that changed my fucking life).

My time in Rome was also the start of my TopDeck tour which would result in the craziest and most exciting and exhausting next 18 days. I explored a beautiful new city with new friends, cocktail buckets and getting my first little taste of the cold.

Next on our trip was Verona and Venice. Hopefully those posts will be up soon.

Rome is Stunning! I love all the antique architecture there! I've never been to verona but venice is a another really pretty city on the water. Make sure to visit murano and burano! Have fun dear!

Oh I would love to go to Rome one day! I remember a friend sent me a letter and a photo from when he was in Rome, in front of the Colosseum (remember those days when people printed photos?!) and I made a decision then that I'd go visit one day. Glad you are enjoying your trip! :)
