Don't mind the incredibly derpy face in the last photo, it's my 'it's freezing face'.
I won't forget our first glimpse of the Eiffel Tower. The night we got into Paris we decided to take a stroll around Montmarte. Whilst we were up on the hill of the Sacre-cœur bascilla observing the Parisian Skyline a tall beautifully lit tower stood out amongst the view.
There's such a hype created around the Eiffel Tower with the steel building representing romance and elegance in society. Although this trip was my first time to Paris, I felt as though the Eiffel Tower was a monument that I'd seen everywhere without actually seeing it (hello Paris themed everything at Typo). I always thought the Eiffel Tower was 'pretty', maybe I just thought that because it would always appear on cute bed sheets and colourful canvas, but it wasn't until I laid on my owns on it that I truly appreciated it's beauty. The structure is massive and positioned between beautiful gardens, very very very green grass, substantial residential buildings and the Seine River. Even the cold could not take away from it's impressive nature.
A full post on my stay in Paris will eventually go up :)
Have you been to Paris? If so, were you equally as impressed by the Eiffel Tower?
Thanks for reading!
