Stripes. Quilts. Straps. Hats.
That sounded weird.
I have been on the hunt for an inexpensive black fedora for some time. I found so many great ones and then shuddered at their price thinking "Why?!?!? For a hat?!?!?" Then when I finally found one for a reasonable price it stayed on the corner of my dress rack for some time, I was hesitant to wear it even though I had been yearning for one. The hesitancy stemmed from a fear of styling it incorrectly, a fear of seeming like a indie try-hard or some shit and not being able to pull it off. Did I have the correct head for a semi floppy black fedora? Was my head cool enough?
To make myself wear the bloody hat I lugged it along with me to Sydney, it even stayed under the seat on the airplane. On the Sunday we spent exploring the city I knew it was time and just to reassure myself I made sure it was actually a sunny so it served a functional purpose and thus seemed appropriate to wear.
The end result; outfit pictures with my black fedora on a brick footpath next to Circular Quay.
Let me know if seeing some of my favourite snap shots from Sydney is of any interest to you :)
