After a 5 day heatwave in Victoria and temperatures soaring above 44°C (111°F), the weather has finally become moderate again and I was able to wear my cape from Sammy Dress. Who would have thought that after 5 days of staying indoors in my air-conditioned house to avoid melting I'd spend the next day wearing a shirt, stockings and a cape? That's Melbourne mornings for you!
I've been loving the over the should look with coats and blazers and it's a common practice among fashionistas attending fashion week. And whilst I love the look, I feel like sometimes it looks awkward when I try to replicate the look on myself. I'm not chic enough (sad face), but the answer to my fashion prays is a cape. It gives that trendy over the shoulder look without it looking like my blazer is about to fall off my back.
What's your thoughts on cape and the over the shoulder look?
